Spanish Language Worship.

Last Sunday, we welcomed for the first time, the Reverend Johannes George to lead our celebration of the Eucharist. We look forward to his return. We also welcomed back several members of our Hispanic congregation who had been unable to worship with us for a while.

Now to the future, several weeks ago, I posted that the Spanish language services were being discontinued until “further notice.” That time is NOW! Beginning this coming Sunday, June 24th., those of our members and friends who prefer to worship in Spanish will be able to do so. This will be a special form of service which will meet at 10 a.m. in the parish hall. There, led by Eva, they will commence with prayers and the assigned readings of the day in preparation for Holy Communion. They will then join the English language congregation in the church to receive the Eucharistic elements of bread and wine.

Please spread the word and pray that from this small beginning we will once again have a thriving Hispanic congregation and that bilingual supply priests will be available in the fall.
